Golf in Varadero

The spectacular 18 hole Golf course at Varadero has been constructed to the highest
specifications possible. It has charm and character to satisfy the most avid golfer, with ease of access and playability for the occasional golfer; from the tournament tees it offers a true championship test for the low handicap and professional golfer alike.

The ambiance created by this Caribbean oasis of golfing pleasure is set amid the swaying
palms and is surrounded by colorful Cuban fauna and flora, constantly surprises and
delights the eye. The contrasting shades of emerald green fairways and aquamarine seas
provide a vista of breathtaking beauty that serenades the senses and calms the mind.

Five par threes, five par five's and eight par fours contribute to the comprehensive and
unique design. The par 72 stretches over 6,269 meters / 6856 yards with 4 kilometers of
cart paths surrounded by 14 HA of natural lakes.

The course designer, Canadian golf architect Les Furber, combined three playing
characteristics woven into one theme, from the classically wide tree lined fairways to the
huge open greens that invite the players to attack the flag.

The modern target golf element of well guarded island greens and impressive island
fairways that will expand your golfing experience before reaching the final holes of both the front and back 9 with traditional links golf holes that play along the elevated shore line and capture the essence of this Royal and Ancient game.

Each hole has a minimum of 4 tee areas allowing for golfers of all abilities and standards to test their golfing skills, and with wall to wall watering the course is always a pleasure to play.

The golf course welcomes lady golfers to test their golfing skills and encourage juniors to
play and take part in our golf classes. Senior golfers are especially welcome as our 90
degree cart rule when riding in golf buggies allows the golfer to ride all the way to where
the ball lies.
