Inaugurated on December 29, 1909, the 4-star Hotel Plaza is considered a gem in the Cuban hotel industry, and also by the people of Havana. The hotel's magnificent neoclassical façade stands out in its city surroundings. With its colonial patio, picturesque lobby fountain, lush vegetation, exotic birds, sculptures and colorful stained-glass windows which filter the tropical light, one can't help but be moved by the magical atmosphere. The Plaza regally sits in one of the best parts of Old Havana, near the Paseo del Prado, the Gran Teatro de la Habana and such famous restaurants as the Floridita and La Bodeguita del Medio.
